jSa was established in 1997 by licensed architect, Jonathan Splitt. The firm’s work encompasses projects that include custom residential, hospitality as well as mixed-use high rise structures. We foster a flexible approach to meeting the client’s goals coupled with a consistent focus on the structure’s design, form and purpose. We are affiliated with both the local and national chapters of The American Institute of Architects (AIA) as well as have earned recognition from several important groups including the AIA, the Illinois Indiana Masonry Institute in addition to the Norwood Park Historical Society. We have extensive experience with the City of Chicago Department of Zoning, The Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities (MOPD), The Department of Housing, The Lakefront Protection Ordinance and with The Department of Planning.

Burt Rezko

Project Engineer

Burt is a registered professional engineer with over 30 years of experience in planning, design and construction engineering of facilities and systems for the City of Chicago. In his previous role as a deputy commissioner with the Department of Water Management, he was responsible for oversight and management of the planning and implementation of the capital improvement program for the Department’s water main construction program, sewer main construction program and the facilities construction program. These programs totaled over $600 million dollars annually. Burt has a Master’s in Business Administration In the fields of finance and operations management from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and Bachelors of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin Madison.
