    Ground may be broken soon for new 258-unit apartment development in downtown Aurora

    City officials and developers are looking to have a groundbreaking soon for the DAC apartment development along North Broadway in downtown Aurora. Mayor Richard Irvin said recently a date is close to being set for the groundbreaking, and the beginning of the 258-unit apartment development on a 1.96-acre site between North Broadway and the Fox River, and Jakes Bagels restaurant and the Aurora Township building.

  • A Final Look At “The 808 Cleveland” In Near North Side

    Today, YIMBY takes a look at the newly completed mixed-use high rise at 808 N Cleveland Avenue in Near North Side. Dubbed “The 808 Cleveland,” the 22-story building offers 28,000 square feet of retail and office space along with 200 apartments that are leased and managed by Common. DAC Developments is behind this project, which spans a total of 281,256 square feet and had a development cost of $105 million, according to their website.

  • 424 S. Wabash secures caisson permit. The mixed-use tower will host 280 hotel rooms.

    A caisson permit has been issued for the mixed-use development at 424 S. Wabash. Planned by DAC Developments, the midblock site is located between E. Van Buren St and E. Congress Pkwy. The property is currently occupied by a vacant parking lot and one-story brick structure.

  • 1217 W Washington Receives Foundation Permit In West Loop

    An initial foundation permit has been issued for 1217 W Washington Boulevard in West Loop, where DAC Developments has planned for a new 19-story mixed-use tower. Located between two adjacent historic buildings, the site is currently a vacant lot that overlooks the intersection of W. Washington Blvd and N. Willard Ct. DAC Developments is collaborating with Melrose Ascension Capital on the project.
