Haitham Barham

Project Manager

Haitham’s responsibilities include managing the general contractor’s budget and timeline, and being the primary on-site contact for DAC’s suburban projects. He successfully delivered DAC’s 321-unit, $100 million Uptown 500 project in Wheeling, Illinois. Haitham’s prior experiences include Project Manager of a state-run power plant in Jordan, and other private and public international engineering projects. Haitham has a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Jordan, and a Masters in Engineering Management from the University of Wollongong in Dubai, UAE.

Suheil Nammari

Project Engineer

Suheil manages the land planning and civil engineering aspect of DAC’s suburban projects. Suheil has extensive experience and a successful track record in the land development and civil engineering field. He served as President of his own consulting firm, with over 45 years of hands-on design experience in land development and public infrastructure. Previously, Suheil served also as a Town Engineer. Suheil’s experience and interaction with other professionals over the years has given him the ability to have a broad overview and insight. Over his career, he has represented numerous projects before zoning boards, plan commissions and other public forums. Suheil has developed a number of projects in the great Chicagoland Area, among them: DAC’s Uptown 500 project, Doubletree in Winfield (both as Engineer and a Partner), the Enclave in Lake County, IN (both as Engineer and Partner), Heritage Falls in Lowell, IN  (both as Engineer and Partner), Still Water in Crown Point, IN, and Havenwood in Cedar Lake, IN. Suheil has served for many years as Chair of the Urban Planning Division of ASCE, Illinois Section. He developed and ran the Career Day Seminars for many years for ASCE, Illinois Section.

Washington Capital began managing real estate assets in the late 1980’s when we underwrote a commercial loan for a pension trust. Previously, WaCap only managed fixed income and stock strategies. More than 30 years later, our real estate business now accounts for the majority of our assets under management. We provide clients with exposure to real estate debt and equity through our commingled vehicles and also offer separate account management for clients with individual real estate assets. Since the inception of Washington Capital’s real estate investment strategies, we have employed a union-build approach. Our development projects require union labor. We believe that utilizing the skilled men and women of the union trades leads to projects being delivered on time, under budget and with less warranty call-backs.
