Project Engineer

Burt is a registered professional engineer with over 30 years of experience in planning, design and construction engineering of facilities and systems for the City of Chicago. In his previous role as a deputy commissioner with the Department of Water Management, he was responsible for oversight and management of the planning and implementation of the capital improvement program for the Department’s water main construction program, sewer main construction program and the facilities construction program. These programs totaled over $600 million dollars annually. Burt has a Master’s in Business Administration In the fields of finance and operations management from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and Bachelors of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin Madison.
